TÂCHES ET RESPONSABILITÉS :
- Gestion des travailleurs et des sous-traitants sur les chantiers
- Organiser le travail et les livraisons de matériel
- Aptitudes à lire et interpréter les plans d’architecte et d’ingénieur
- Construction de divisions en métal et en bois
- Installation de gypse et revêtement mural
- Installations de portes intérieures et boiseries
- Installation de plancher
- Installation de moulures de finition
- Tous autres travaux de finition
COMPÉTENCES RECHERCHÉES :
- Aptitude à lire et à interpréter les plans architecturaux
- Maîtrise de l'utilisation d'équipements et d'outils manuels et électriques
- Excellente forme physique et capacité à soulever des charges lourdes
- Souci de la sécurité
- Sens du détail et finitions soignées, capable de satisfaire les exigences du client quant à la qualité.
- Expérience de 5 ans et plus en gestion de chantiers de construction ou gestion d’équipes
- Expérience préalable en charpenterie/menuiserie ou formation connexe
- Excellente connaissance des normes du bâtiment et des réglementations en vigueur au Québec
- Leadership, sens de l’organisation et capacité à gérer les priorités
- Bonne communication orale et écrite (courriel, outils de suivi)
- Aptitude au travail d’équipe
- Carte CCQ construction obligatoire
- Fiabilité : le contremaitre est le relai entre les opérations et l’équipe de direction / projets
- Autonome dans la prise de décision
- Capable de se déplacer (Permis)

Job Description
As a foreman carpenter, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating construction sites to ensure their smooth running, working with field teams and project managers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of workers and subcontractors on construction sites
- Organize work and material deliveries
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans
- Construction of metal and wood partitions
- Installation of drywall and wall coverings
- Installation of interior doors and woodwork
- Flooring installation
- Installation of trim moldings
- All other finishing work
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools and equipment
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to lift heavy loads
- Safety conscious
- Attention to detail and meticulous workmanship, able to meet client quality requirements.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience in construction site management or team management
- Previous experience in carpentry/joinery or related training
- Excellent knowledge of building standards and regulations in Quebec
- Leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage priorities
- Good oral and written communication skills (email, tracking tools)
- Ability to work as a team
- CCQ Construction certification required
- Reliability: the foreman is the liaison between operations and the management/project team
- Autonomous decision-making
- Able to travel (Permit required)
